Leeds Rhinos put people first and launches whole person health and wellbeing strategy for its teams

Leeds Rhinos has signed a deal with health-tech company hero to deliver an all encompassing health and wellbeing solution to support, educate and transform the lives of the 150-strong support and foundation staff that work at the world-famous club. 

Leeds Rhinos is prioritising the health, happiness and wellbeing of its teams by working with Leeds-based hero. 

Over the past 12-18 months, corporate priorities have changed and world-leading brands recognise the value and importance of investing in its people, and putting their health and wellbeing at the centre of their HR, culture and people strategy. By working with hero, Leeds Rhinos will be supporting its employees across physical, mental, social and financial  health and to this end, the teams will have access and support from hero’s award-winning whole person health technology, Navigator. Navigator provides access to a fully personalised, wellness library and nutritional resource; all in the palm of the user’s hand – available online and at any time. The technology promotes a holistic approach to health; from setting in-house fitness challenges to offering financial advice and therapy sessions. As well as this technology, hero will be working with Rhinos to carry out health assessments and year round provision of ongoing seminars from hero’s health behaviour change learning and development programme, Mindset.

Leeds Rhinos and hero will be working together on a three-year programme of activity which not only includes access to Navigator but also in-person health and wellbeing support, services and training. The Rhinos will also be one of the founding members of the hero health and Wellbeing Champions Network. An exclusive network of like-minded brands and individuals from a range of different organisations from across the world, to help share insights and support each other to create the healthiest, happiest communities possible.
